Nudist beach Scheveningen

The nudist beach of Scheveningen is one of the oldest nudist beaches in the NetherlandsThe Netherlands. On June 13, 1975, the city council of The Hague adopted astretch of beach of 250 meters close to the border with Wassenaarfor nude recreation. The nudist beach used to be protected by afence a few meters away from the row of dunes. Beach walkerscould pass behind the fence along the nudist beach.

The nudist beach is signposted up to the border with themunicipality of Wassenaar (pole 97.4). The nudist beach section on itThe territory of the municipality of Wassenaar is not indicated with signs. Inthe practice is spread in the area up to the Wassenaarse Slagscale nude recreated (not close to the beach entrances).

There are two beach pavilions on the nudist beach, one on the terracenudity not allowed. Furthermore, there are no facilities. Itdog policy was changed in 2008 by the municipality of The Hague. The entirenudist beach has now become a running area for dogs. Note: Opdogs are prohibited in the Wassenaar part of the nudist beach. Especially onthe area between the two beach pavilions gets dressed a lotrecreated, so that naturists are often in the minority.

There are a number of breakwaters on the beach, which are also includedlow tide are barely visible. These breakwaters are with signsmarked. Stay at least 25 meters from these dams when swimming(Swimming close to the breakwaters is prohibited!). On the nudist beachis no bath supervision, the nearest rescue post is locatedlocated 900 meters south.
