The Rhederlaag recreational area of around 500 hectares lies east of Arnhem in the municipality of Zevenaar. It has a water surface of 350 hectares and is in open connection with the IJssel. The area consists of 3 puddles, of which at the Lathumse puddle on a part of the Bahrschestrand nude recreation is allowed. Between the Gieseplas and the Lathumse plas is the high-water-free Muggenwaard peninsula on which Riverparc Rhedermeer has around 400 holiday homes has built. Access to the recreation area is free, parking fees are charged.

The nudist beach area is with signs indicated. The terrain consists of lawns, with a part sandy beach on the water. The toilet block on the nudist beach is on a hill. Around and on this hill is being recreated. There are no further provisions on it nudist beach. The nudist beach is not separate from it textile beach. There is a kiosk on the textile beach 250 meters away present.

Due to the open connection with the IJssel, the water level in the lake is very high varying. The swimming water quickly becomes deep, especially at low water. There is no separated area with a limited depth. There is, however, a ball line (water depth around 8 meters) around delimiting the swimming zone from recreational boating.
