The footpath, which was in a poor condition for years, was resurfaced in 2012. Although it is a pedestrian path, many attempt to reach the beach by bicycle.



The beautiful surroundings, with a view of the 58 meter high Westerlichttoren. The lighthouse is mainly known because designer Oxenaar used his image on the former 250 guilder banknote.
