General

The 475-hectare site is located on the northwest side of Cuijk Kraaijenbergse Plassengebied. The puddles were created by sand mining that took place from 1968 to 2014. The puddle area consists of 9 different pools, each with a different function. At lake 4, on the north side of the lake area, since July 2005 a section designated for nude recreation.
