The recreation area 't Hilgelo is located just north of Winterswijk. The area of ??36 hectares consists of a pond with a beach and playgrounds. On the southeast side of the lake, a part is intended for nudist recreation. The nudist beach is somewhat shielded from the other recreational beaches. The area is signposted.

There is a toilet block on the nudist beach, there are none amenities.
There is a kiosk on the textile beach 520 meters away. In May 2017, the new Beachclub Meer was built right next to the nudist beach. Small-scale festivals are held around the Beachclub, so there are some noise nuisance on the nudist beach can occur.
There is a sandy beach along the water, and there are also sunbathing areas with shady spots. The sunbathing lawn on the water is slightly hilly. The sunbathing areas are flat next to and behind the toilet building.
The swimming water has a demarcated area with a depth of up to 1.5 meters.
