Nudist beach Castricum aan Zee

The municipality of Castricum has approximately 5 kilometers of beach. The beach is only accessible by car via the Zeeweg, which ends at beach battle 38 Castricum aan Zee. Here is a spacious parking lot with a few catering facilities. There are several beach pavilions and beach sleeping houses on the beach. The beach can only be reached by bicycle and on foot, with a valid admission ticket, via the Noordhollands Duinreservaat. For a detailed route description see the route page.

Nude recreation is allowed between pole & 46.00 and 47,85 . This area is not signposted on the beach. The area is indicated on the information boards at the beach entrances. Nude recreation also takes place on the beach section between posts 45.50 and 45.75 (100 meters before beach battle 39 Hazenduin). This (tolerated) part is perhaps the busiest part of the Castricum nude beach.

Nude on the beach
For years, naturists have found their way to a part of the beach in a southerly direction, between beach posts 46 and 47. The beach is not formally designated as a nudist beach. It is not necessary. As long as there is no violation of public order, sun worshipers decide for themselves whether they recreate with or without textiles

There are no facilities on the nudist beach. At the northern border at 870 meters is the beach pavilion Club Zand and at the southern border is the beach pavilion at 780 meters De Vrijheit

There is no direct bath supervision on the nudist beach. The nearest lifeguard post is at the beach battle Castricum aan Zee at 1100 meters.
